As part of the strategic partnership initiative between Munich University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) and California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo (USA) (Cal Poly), the computer science departments of both universities are holding a 2-week-long intensive course on “Current Topics in IT Security” in Munich from June 13-24, 2016.


A total number 30 students (15 students from Cal Poly and 15 Students from MUAS) and eight professors are attending and discussing topics of web application security, information security management, privacy and security in eHealth, cryptographic engineering as well as Cellular Security and WLAN Security.

 

The intensive course is organized by MUAS professors Hof, Socher, Wischhof, Zugenmaier, and Soceanu together with their Cal Poly counterparts Peterson and DeBruhl and MUAS guest professor Venter.

There is great international spirit and collaboration in the course for a very important cause, security in the area of digitization. The intensive course sets a foundation for continued strategic collaboration of the partner universities in IT Security.
